Our Core Values
God Matters
We are committed to a high view of God. God, who is holy and transcends all human knowledge, (Exod. 15:11; 1 Sam. 2:2; Isa. 6:3; 55:8-9; Luke 1:49) has condescended and made Himself known to us through His creation and His Word (Rom. 1:19-20; John 1:1, 14, 18; Heb. 1:1-3; 1 John 1:1-3). As we grow in knowing Him, we will respond in love, obedience, and worship, giving all glory to Him (2 Cor. 3:18).
Truth Matters
We are committed to a high view of Scripture. Rightly interpreted, the Bible is our authority and is sufficient for all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20-21), God’s Word is profitable for belief and behavior (2Tim. 3:16). The purpose is to conform us to the image of God’s Son, putting His glory on display (Col. 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 3:18).
The Church Matters
We are committed to the church. Christ died for the church (Rom. 5:6-8) and Christ is building His church (Matt. 16:18). So, if the church is this important to Jesus, it should be for us as well. The church is the means of transforming the culture and provides the means of sanctification that Christ desires in each one of His followers. In the community of the church, believers join in worship and are edified and equipped to do the work of ministry which builds the church up to function as Christ desires (Eph. 4:11-16). When this happens, the manifold glory of God is displayed (Eph. 3:10).
The Lost Matter
Jesus declared that He came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). In following His example and in obedience to the Great Commission, we are committed to proclaiming the gospel to those who are in desperate need of salvation (Matt. 28:19-20; Luke 24:18). Christ is worthy of our worship (Rev. 4:11), and we desire that all men, women, and children will come to faith and repent in response to the glorious truth of His gospel.
